PT. MRT Provides Special Parking Lot for People with Disability

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) provides special parking lot for people with disabilities or wheelchair users who ride three-wheeled motorcycles.

Thank you and we appreciate MRT's effort for facilitating people with disability with special parking area

PT. MRT Jakarta Operation and Maintenance Director, Muhammad Effendi mentioned, this parking lot is currently provided at Lebak Bulus Station. In the future, his side will provide the similar facility in all MRT stations.

"This parking lot is located beside elevator of Station's Exit Gate C, in front of GKJ Nehemia Church. This area can accommodate up to 5-6 special motorcycles and guarded by security officers," he explained, Friday (2/21).

Wheelchair users can continue to the station using elevator that is located around 60 meters from the parking area.

"We are grateful because GKJ Nehemia people are willingly to provide part of its land for this special parking lot," he said.

Retnowati, a wheelchair user tries to use this facility with her friend, Baharuddin. They are using three-wheeled motorcycles that have been designed specifically for wheelchair users.

"Thank you and we appreciate MRT's effort for facilitating people with disability with special parking area. Hopefully this facility can be provided in other stations as soon as possible," she expressed.
